One site that I found that brought back some of my fond, little girl memories to me was this site below.

Sunnybank Collies

The reason, I love this site, being is that my mother as a child grew up reading the Albert Payson Terhune stories of his Sunnybank Collies, which caused her to always have collies around us.  I grew up with Sable and White collies and loved to watch Lassie on TV.  Yep, I even ended up reading a few of Mr. Terhune's wonderful collie stories.  I remembered how touching the intense stories were, and sobbing over the many heartfelt pages.

We ended up with our loved, Tri Color collies Kindr N Stix, due to the breeder knowing that we as a family, were devastated over the loss of our beloved Acorn, a sable and white, wise beauty.  she protected us, and loved us for 13 years.  She was the perfect dog.  I could not stop crying after her loss, so Ben told the breeder that we had to do something, quick.  She agreed, on one term, that our new love had to look different from Acorn, since the loss was so fresh.  So in marched Kindr, as a four year old princess.  She was a show dog in her prime that our breeder decided to stop showing.  We don't know why, don't really care.  We saw her and fell in love.

The breeder, Belluue Collies at Jo-Jan's Kennel were concerned that Kindr would get lonely at her new home, so in a short time ushered in, the little bouncy ball of fur now known as Stix.  Jody gave us our pick from what remained of the litter.  The others she was to keep and show.  We were so excited.  We had never had two dogs before!

Ever since, Kindr has mothered Stix as her own.  They run and play, and get into trouble in tandem.
